Hi! I’m Emilie, and I grew up in the oh-so-charming and vibrant city of Brussels.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a curious and eager-to-learn kid. If I had the chance to explore every activity that caught my interest, it was mostly thanks to my parents, who lovingly supported me through dance classes, music lessons, painting workshops… (Luckily for them, I was an only child!).

I can’t say I’ve changed much since then. I still have a million projects and ideas buzzing in my head. I want to learn coding, but I also want to read more fantasy books. At the same time, I’m tempted to try the latest DIY trick I saw on Pinterest. But wouldn’t it be wiser to save for my next travel adventure? So many dreams, so little time! Fortunately, I’ve already been lucky enough to fulfill some of them.

One of my biggest inspirations has always been my mom. She would often reminisce about her incredible memories from Bali and Jakarta, always dreaming of returning one day—this time, with me. So, when I had the chance to study abroad in my third year of university, I put Asia at the top of my list.

Two weeks later, I found out I was heading to Taiwan for my first big adventure abroad. At the time, I barely knew where this island was located—let alone anything about its culture or language.

That experience changed everything. Living in Taiwan opened my eyes not only to a new culture but also to how much travel can shape us. I learned so much about myself and about the different ways people live. For someone as curious as me, each trip is a chance to grow, to expand my perspectives, and to see the world through a different lens.

But I also learned that traveling without preparation means missing out—on connections with locals, on unique experiences, and on opportunities I didn’t even know existed. Later, when I traveled more prepared, I found myself enjoying my trips so much more.

Through my journeys, I met many travelers—some who felt lost, others disappointed by certain experiences, and some who believed that their dream trip was out of reach because they didn’t know how to plan it or feared it would be too expensive.

That’s why I created The Organized Traveller.

I want to share everything I’ve learned to help you feel confident about your travels, so you can chase your dreams without stress, fear of missing out, or the frustration of not knowing where to start.

You don’t have to travel for months to create meaningful, unforgettable moments. You don’t need to be a billionaire to explore the world once or twice a year.

Let me guide you with my tips, experiences, and itineraries. Together, we’ll make the most of the time we have to explore this incredible world with confidence and ease.

Let’s build a community of empowered travelers. Let’s share our best advice so that everyone can confidently achieve their dream trips.
